Outplacement Coaching Amsterdam
Losing a job is one of the hardest professional experiences a person can go through. Even when it is handled with care, even when it is not personal, it still hits hard. There is grief. There is uncertainty. There is the question that circles at 2am: what do I do now?
This is where good outplacement coaching makes all the difference. Not a generic programme. Not a checkbox exercise. A real, human process that helps someone move from shock to clarity to a new role they actually want.
That is what I do.
What Outplacement Coaching at DoSo! Looks Like
I have been coaching professionals through career transitions for 16 years. I have worked with over 1,000 clients from more than 20 nationalities, many of them internationals navigating the Dutch job market for the first time, often without a network, without fluent Dutch, and without a clear roadmap.
I know this journey from the inside. I am originally from Poland, I moved to the Netherlands, I rebuilt my career in a new country and a new language. I know what it feels like to start again. The professionals who come to me are not broken. They are capable people who need clarity, strategy, and someone in their corner.
My outplacement programme is always custom-made. No two people start from the same place, so no two programmes look identical.
But every programme is built around three pillars.
Past: Making Sense of What Happened
Being let go is emotional. Even if you understand the business reasons, the feelings are real. Frustration. Fear. Anger. Relief. All of it is valid.
We start here. Not because I am a therapist, but because I know from experience that you cannot build a clear future while you are still carrying the weight of what just happened.
We look at what happened, what you have learned from it, and what you want to leave behind.
Present: Getting Clear on Who You Are and What You Want
This is the most important work. And it is the part most outplacement programmes skip. We do not start with your CV. We start with you.
Through a series of exercises and assessments (Bridge Personality & Career + Gallup’s Clifton Strength Assessment), we map out your values, your core strengths, your talents, your working style, and the environments where you do your best work.
Because a career transition that lands you in the wrong role, for the wrong company, in the wrong culture, is not a successful transition. It is just a delayed problem.
By the end of this phase, you have a clear picture of what you want your next role to look like, and a concrete action plan to get there.
Future: Finding Your Next Role
This part focuses on finding the future employment and consists of the following parts:

A Real Story
One of my clients came to me after being made redundant from a role she had held for years.
She was an international professional. No Dutch network. No experience with the Dutch job market. And a lot of doubt about whether she could make it work.
We started with the emotional layer, because she needed to process what had happened before she could move forward.
Then we rebuilt her confidence, clarified her direction, and completely repositioned how she presented herself.
She did not just find a new job. She found a better one. A role that matched her values, her strengths, and the level she had always been capable of.
She was hired over Dutch-speaking candidates for a role that officially required full fluency. Because she could clearly demonstrate the value she would bring.
That is what happens when outplacement is done properly.
Additionally, alongside individual coaching sessions you get full access to Job Search Mastery, my online programme on Thinkific. It includes step-by-step video lessons and practical workbooks covering every stage of your job search in the Netherlands. So you can learn at your own pace, in between our sessions, and arrive to every call ready to take the next step.

I wholeheartedly recommend working with Dorota! I reached out to her at a time when I felt quite lost in my job search in the Netherlands – I was receiving few to no responses, and my self-confidence was at its lowest. Just a few sessions with Dorota felt almost miraculous: within less than three months of starting our work together, I received two amazing job offers.Throughout our time together, Dorota tailored each session to what I needed most at that moment. She supported me at every step of the process – from improving my CV and identifying people and companies to approach, to preparing for interviews and negotiating my salary. At each stage, she was incredibly committed, attentive, and kind. Her guidance has been invaluable, and I would 100% recommend her to any expat looking for a job in Amsterdam!

I recommend Dorota as a career coach to anyone navigating professional doubt, or feeling of being stagnant in their careers.
Through her coaching programme, Dorota supported me in navigating my way through a recent relocation to the Netherlands and feeling lost in the new cultural context.
I also benefited from her guidance as I worked through defining my key priorities and work values. Dorota’s holistic approach, marked by her kindness, calm energy, and open-mindedness, encourages a nurturing space for self-discovery and growth.
Her wealth of experience is visible in every session, offering practical insights and strategies to overcome obstacles that suddenly don’t seem as daunting anymore.
I landed a new job already after a few sessions, so whether you’re grappling with career transitions or cultural adjustments, Dorota’s coaching offers support and a new perspective we often need to make a change in career path.
We first met at the launch of her book “Career Jump”. I remember feeling very inspired and already had the idea if I left my current job, I would love to work with Dorota.
When we started, I had left a HR Manager role and I was very uncertain about my career path.
Through her guidance, I regained my confidence to return to the workplace. I felt I gained clarity and will continue to continue growing independently.
Dorota’s insightful, and highly professional approach provided the structure, tools, and support I needed to overcome these challenges. Using the various tools and talent tests it became clear my path, and I am happier in my new role that I have been in a long time.
I highly recommend her to anyone looking to overcome self-doubt, clarify their path, and achieve great results.
